Finally, this deposit bag includes a security micro-print along indented side welds, the Vault Process Certified VPC seal - the endorsement of leading loss prevention managers. Oxo-Degradable are mainly based on polyethylene and contain additives that cause the plastic to degrade.
The additives are typically organic compounds of transition metals (such as cobalt, iron, nickel, and manganese).
Oxidative degradation is a complex series of chemical reactions in which the long chains of polyethylene molecules are broken down into shorter lengths by the action of oxygen,
ultra-violet light and/or heat. This degradation process causes deterioration in the strength of the plastic, which becomes brittle and easily fragments into small pieces.
